Samson Construction were asked to project manage the reconstruction and extension of our 1960's house in Limpsfield in 2006. The project was an ambitious one but with Samson managing the technical and resourcing side and assisting with the financial elements the project was completed pretty much to time and budget and overall was a huge success. After sales service has not been a major issue but when required always available at the end of the phone. Very difficult to see how we would have made such a success without Samson Construction.

After an extensive assessment of the building options available in the Oxted, Westerham & Caterham area we selected Samson Construction to provide the planning, consultancy and construction work required for our project. The work encompassed several major elements: Design & planning Building control, documentation and all aspects of building regulation Structural redesign of the upper-floor and roof space The complete renewal of the roof structure and tiling Addition of a fully fitted & decorated loft bedroom and en-suite shower room Renewal of electrical wiring Relocation & upgrade of the main electricity consumer unit. Complete renewal of the heating & hot-water systems including the addition of a high-pressure hot-water cylinder A new window unit Decoration & aesthetics The decision to select Samson Construction was, ultimately, a simple one. Led by Sam, the company quickly and expertly interpreted our plans & ideas to create a detailed and accurate project plan and cost analysis. The assessment was thorough clear, precise and competitive. Moreover, Sam was a pleasure to work with and communication flowed well resulting in a balanced project proposal with savings made in the right places to free funds for the more bespoke elements of the design. CAD was used to help us visualise the plans and this, coupled with the detailed discussions we had throughout, meant we had complete confidence we were heading in the right direction right from the outset. Sam has an expert knowledge of the latest materials, techniques, fixtures & fittings used in construction. This was a tremendous help as Sam was able to suggest creative solutions to issues we could not see how to solve ourselves. Its fair to say no stone was left unturned to ensure the plans and the results achieved were exactly as we had hoped for. At the same time, Samson Construction came up with the clever ways always needed to keep costs within budget. This multi-month project progressed smoothly to plan. A great work ethic ensured things were never allowed to slip. At the same time, Sams self-confessed perfectionist approach meant quality was always turned-up to the maximum. Good communication throughout made it clear exactly what was happening and when. . . and, most importantly, how we were performing against budget. It is worth noting that, at inception, one of our primary concerns was mixing our three inquisitive toddlers with the extensive building works needed. We were assured that every possible step would be taken to maintain a safe and clean environment. . . and indeed this was absolutely the case. Building areas and construction teams were self-contained and well organised, the building works were rigorously cleaned throughout, dust was excluded from our living areas and every measure was taken to protect the outdoor play areas. It has to be said, Sam and his team were extremely considerate and a real pleasure to have around. The end result? The project was delivered on-time and on-budget. The work was beautifully done by a team that clearly enjoyed their work and that we enjoyed having in he house. We happily recommend Samson Construction with no hesitation at all.

Sam, and his craftsmen helped us design and source and then installed a luxury hotel standard showeroom to the highest standard. Sam is a pleasure to work with and we have recommended him to several friends who are equally impressed.
