Dual aspect orangery and kitchen extension

Project Status : Completed Project

Description

Design and build orangery and kitchen extension to match existing lime stone masonry.

We were engaged to design a replacement for a timber frame conservatory that would harmonise with the solid limestone building. During the design process we suggested also extending the kitchen area, incorporating a second roof lantern to bring natural light into what was a gloomy environment. Our Client remained in residence during the project and we were able to convert the adjacent utility area into a temporary kitchen which was accessd via a dust proof insulated corridor.

After the success of the project we were asked to refurbish the garage and to relandscape the garden incorporating a large waterfall using the house stone that had been reclaimed from the building work.

We have subsequently carried out several other projects at this propoerty which include a traditional oak panelled pool room with hidden record storage  that can be viewed under the carpentry section.
